Ask Me: At home auditions – who should read with you?

Anonymous asked
If you want to make a self audition but you have no one to read the other’s characters line, what do you do?

Many thanks for asking your question.

There is no excuse for not having someone to read the other characters lines with you. Even if you have mere moments to throw it all together. You should ask ANYONE to do it. They don’t have to be an actor. You can ask your granny, your neighbor, the guy at the deli if you have to. Or at worst you can do a phone conference over speaker-phone with someone. Even if it means bribing a friend with dinner to do it. If you can’t find anyone I would say you’re not trying hard enough.
